The process of using BitLocker on the laptops that did have TPM wasn't as plain sailing as I expected. A faff but they are not going to throw away the three non-TPM laptops they have.
Will just have to unencrypt when there is a major Windows 10 release. I've got the TrueCrypt process of switching back to MBR and resizing the C: drive to 100GB (which speeds up encryption) down to a pat now. Of course, you still need the TPM chip so if you haven't got one, your stuffed! I suspect right now there isn't one that doesn't cost as much as upgrading to Pro. I'm going to close this thread as not needing an answer anymore because nobody has recommended a 3rd party tool that supports Windows 10. It's not obvious on their website which ones do have TPM so one has to be very careful.
I guess Lenova revamped the range over the last six months. Discovered that some of the earlier Yoga 500's (IBD models) didn't have TPM chip but the new ones (ISK do) they bought have got the chip.
